Kelly’s sorority was hosting a themed Date Dash so Kelly asked Alex if he would be her date. With only a few hours to get a costume together they went as Cinderella and Prince Charming and it was the perfect fairy tale start to their relationship.

Alex asks Kelly to be his girlfriend the day after her 21st birthday. They go to Zoolights and make it a yearly tradition that they continue for the next 10 years.

Alex graduates from University of Oregon and moves back home to Portland. Kelly and Alex agree to start a long-distance relationship and spend the next year driving back and forth from Eugene to Portland to see each other.

Kelly graduates from University of Oregon and moves back to Portland. They take their first trip together to Sun Valley, Idaho to visit Kelly’s family and they fall in love with the small ski town.

Alex and Kelly take their first trip to New York to celebrate Kelly’s birthday at her favorite place, The Plaza Hotel. It was the first of many trips together to New York City.

A snow storm shuts down the city of Portland and Kelly and Alex get stuck for over 8 hours. Gary Woolworth saves the day by helping Alex dig their car out of the snow the next evening. It was the start of a friendship that has carried on to present day. We are so honored to have Gary be our officiant for our wedding ceremony.

Kelly and Alex take their first trip to Kauai, a very special place to Alex and his family. Kelly and Alex share many trips to Kauai where they learn to surf, snorkel with turtles and hike along the Na Pali Coast.

Kelly and Alex take a trip to Sun Valley with some of their good friends. They both agree there is no better time of year than Autumn in Sun Valley.

Alex spends Christmas in Sun Valley and they have dinner at Trail Creek Cabin. Kelly and Alex decide that when they get married they want to have their wedding in Sun Valley at Trail Creek Cabin. They start to talk about plans of getting engaged and married but unfortunately 2020 will put their plans on hold…

Due to COVID-19 Alex and Kelly move in and spend every moment together. Although many couples struggled during COVID this time only brought them closer together.

Post COVID-19 lockdown Alex and Kelly take a two week road trip through Arches, Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. They go horseback riding and camp out under the stars.

Kelly and Alex take their first international trip to Iceland together where they saw the Northern Lights, swam in hot springs and hiked along a glacier to a hidden waterfall.

Finally…after 9 years, Alex proposes to Kelly at the first winery they went to together Elk Cove Vineyards. They designed Kelly’s art deco inspired engagement ring together with a jeweler in Denver. It was the perfect Fall day for a proposal and a memory they will cherish forever.

One year until our wedding day and we are so excited to celebrate together with our closest family and friends in Sun Valley.
